Two days: 16 hour course tailored to the individual students covers the basics of hands only selfdefense.
The Defensive Tactics Package can be take as a package or students can take individual courses as needed. The package is a 10 hour comprehensive training program is a combination of 4 courses. used by professionals in over 80 countries throughout the world. The course is specifically designed for Law Enforcement and Private Security Professionals. The techniques taught in this course are not only defensible in a court of law but are also backed by there perspective certifies. The courses will provide students with a clear understanding of the conditions in which less lethal force and restrains may be used, justification for use, and how to document these actions.
This is the first 2 hours in the Defensive Tactics training program and will focus on use of force laws in your specific state. Application of these laws as it pertains to defensive tactics and where in the use of force spectrum each DT tool falls.
A 3 hour continuation in the Defensive tactics training program. This course will provide students with a clear understanding of the conditions in which restraints and impact weapons may be used, justification for use, and how to document these actions. Class will focus on potation, presentation, application and striking techniques. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a certification card in the mail directly from ASP. Students are encouraged to purchase ASP batons & handcuffs prior to class. ASP purchases can be made directly from the official ASP website.
This is a 3 hour course specifically dealing with EDWs sometimes called tasers. It was designed under the PhaZZer training principles. Teaches the proper use and deployment of a EDW as well as the effects and history of the less lethal tool.
This 3 hour course is the final portion of the Defensive Tactics less lethal training program. It was designed under the SABRE training principles. Teaches the proper deployment and employment of the OC paper spray aerosol canister as well as the effects and history of the less lethal tool.
